Reset game progress

As an administrator, you may need to reset game progress for users in your organization. This article explains when and how administrators can reset user progress.

 

When to reset user progress

You might consider resetting a user's game progress if:

  • They need to restart challenges from the beginning
  • They're experiencing persistent issues with their account
  • You want to clear their scores for a fresh start
  • You want them to experience the onboarding process again

 

Before you reset

Important things to know before resetting user progress:

  • All challenge progress for the user will be permanently deleted
  • Their position on the leaderboard will be reset
  • Any earned badges and achievements will be lost
  • Their account information and login details will remain unchanged

 

How to reset user progress

Follow these steps to reset a user's game progress:

Step 1: Go to users in the admin portal

Step 2: Find and select the user whose progress you want to reset

Step 4: Open the user profile settings

Step 5: Scroll down to the game data section

Step 6: Click on reset game progress

Step 7: Confirm in the dialog box that appears

 

Bulk reset options

To reset progress for multiple users at once:

Step 1: Go to users in the admin dashboard

Step 2: Use the checkbox to select multiple users

Step 3: Click reset game progress

 

After resetting

After resetting a user's progress:

  • They'll be redirected to the welcome screen on their next login
  • They'll need to complete the initial onboarding again
  • All challenges will be available for them to start fresh
