Competing in seasonal leaderboards

Seasonal leaderboards give everyone a fair chance to climb to the top. Whether you just joined or have been active for months, each season is a fresh opportunity to perform, improve, and get recognized.

What seasonal leaderboards are

The leaderboard shows how you and your colleagues are doing in Guardey. With seasonal leaderboards, the competition resets at regular intervals. This creates fair competition and keeps motivation high throughout the year.

When the leaderboard resets

A new season starts every 3 or 6 months, depending on your organization. You can always see how many days are left in the current season. A countdown timer is shown at the top of the Leaderboard page.

What happens when a season ends

At the end of each season:

  • Your XP resets to zero
  • The top performers are announced on the leaderboard page
  • Your score is archived under Previous seasons
  • Your lifetime performance is not affected

You can always look back at your past performance, even after the leaderboard resets.

How you will be notified

Guardey notifies you in two ways:

  • One week before the reset, through an email or in-app message
  • On the last day of the season, with a summary of the results

These messages help you track your progress and prepare for the next season.

How to improve your rank

You can climb the leaderboard by:

  • Completing your challenge every week
  • Keeping your streak active
  • Building your reputation score
  • Earning XP through correct answers and participation

Bonus challenges can give you extra XP, but do most of the time not affect your reputation score.
